Using your account

Do I need a bank account to use AlgoPay?
No, individuals do not need a bank account to use AlgoPay. AlgoPay was designed to be accessible for anyone, no bank account needed. We let users manage their Algo account digitally and withdraw cash from any local Algo agent so that banking isn’t required at any step of the way.

How do I set up my account?
AlgoPay is easy to set up because it’s 100% accessible online- no physical card needed. This means that users can download the app & create an account immediately. Once your account is approved, you can start saving, sending, or cashing out right away.  

If someone pays you using Algo, they can send money to you even before you have an Algo account on our app- you’ll simply get an email from us letting you know that you’ve been paid. Once you create an Algo account using that same email address, your Algo balance will be updated.

Do I need an AlgoPay card to use my account?
AlgoPay is 100% accessible via app- no card needed to receive, store, or send money.

How do I add money to my balance?
Once you have a balance in AlgoPay, you can send funds to friends or family using their email address, save your money securely within AlgoPay, or cash out at a local agent location.

What can I do with my AlgoPay balance?

How do I withdraw money from my account?
You can withdraw your funds in cash at any Algo agent location. Select on your app how much you would like to withdraw and follow the prompts. We’ll update you with your cash pick up code once your pick up is ready- you’ll be able to visit any Algo or partner agent location to receive your cash. Note that you are only able to withdraw funds that are already updated on your balance.

Where can I withdraw my cash?
AlgoPay has local Algo agent locations throughout the Middle East. We operate our own locations in the West Bank and in Kurdistan but are also available through partner locations across the region. You won’t pay any additional cost when using a partner location- we want you to have the same great experience every time. If you don’t have an Algo agent near you, let us know here!

How can I ask my client to pay me through AlgoPay?
Employers can use our AlgoPay for Business website to send payments to remote workers- let us know if you’d like to start being paid for your work with AlgoPay & we’ll help get you set up.

What countries does AlgoPay operate in?
AlgoPay operates across the Middle East, excluding Syria, Yemen, and Iran. If you’d like to use AlgoPay and don’t think there’s an Algo agent near you, let us know here.

I just moved to a new country. Can I still access my AlgoPay account?
Yes! We’ve designed AlgoPay to be a totally borderless payments solution. Moving to a new city or country will never freeze your account & you can always cash out by going to your local Algo agent location. If AlgoPay doesn’t operate in the country you’re moving to or visiting, let us know here.
